Individual Psychotherapy
I don’t have a one-size fits all model for psychotherapy. Because I understand that people come to therapy with different expectations, needs, and resources, I offer flexibility in the length and frequency of sessions, and I work with each individual to create a plan that works for them. Basic psychotherapy sessions are 50 min. Longer sessions may be arranged in advance and are charged on a prorated basis. Special discounts may be available, depending on your circumstances. A limited number of sliding scale slots are also available.Group Counseling
Whether as a stand-alone treatment or as an adjunct to individual therapy, groups can be an extremely effective way to work through difficulties such as depression, anxiety, and loss. For more information about groups, please contact me at 720-568-0421.
Boulder Depression Recovery Group
Depression doesn’t have to be a deal-breaker to a vital, meaningful life. In the Boulder Depression Recovery Group, participants gain the support, understanding, and skills they need to overcome the darkness of depression. Through education, sharing, and experiential exercises, participants learn how they can take a more active role in their own recovery and prevent relapse. Grounded in the evidence-based practices of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, this 8-week group is appropriate for anyone who is looking for structure and support in recovering from depression, either as a stand-alone treatment or as an adjunct to individual therapy.
ACT Your Way Out of Anxiety
Anyone who struggles with anxiety knows its vicious loop it can be: the more anxious a situation makes us, the more tempted we are to avoid it; and the more we avoid it, the more anxious it makes us. And the very things that may offer relief in the short run—drugs and alcohol, over-exercising, obsessing—end up costing us our freedom in the long run. ACT Your Way Out of Anxiety offers a way out of this vicious loop. Grounded in the evidence-based practices of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, this 8-week group offers participants the understanding and skills necessary to overcome anxiety and prevent it from becoming a deal-breaker to a vital and meaningful life.
Payment
I accept payment in cash, check, or credit card. Payment is due at time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
